Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment)

If one of your teeth becomes injured or diseased, it can often be saved through a specialized dental procedure known as a Root Canal Treatment. The Root Canal Treatment involves the removal of a tooth's pulp, both in the pulp and in the root canal, then the root canal(s) is cleaned and shaped to a form that can be filled; and the root canal(s) is filled with biocompatible material usually gutta-percha and then sealed. The treatment may involve one or more visits; and some teeth may need to be crowned.
